Acid Salts
Koal #324
This product is a free flowing, powdered material, a completely water soluble mixture of acids, acid salts
activators and detergents for use in the removal of scale, rust, weld marks, brazing flux and tarnish. The
uses are wide and varied and can be used to replace acids such as sulfuric and muriatic.
Koal #324 is easily handled and is used, generally at 1 to 2 lbs. per gallon of water, hot or room
temperature, on most metals.

Koal #325
This product is a white free flowing, completely water soluble mixture of acids, acid salts, activators and
detergents for use in their removal of scale, rust, weld marks, brazing flux and tarnish. The use are wide
and varied and can be used to replace acids such as sulfuric and muriatic.
Koal #325 is easy to handle and is used at 1-2 lbs per gallon of hot or cold water. They are used on such
metals as zinc die castings, brass, steel, aluminum and copper. Where heating is not available additions
of 1-2% by volume of hydrochloric acid at room temperature will successfully supplant most pickling acids.
Koal #325 is slower in their action than raw mineral acids, the benefits to be gained through their use are
many.

Tanks of ceramic 18-8 stainless steel, or rubber lined tanks with immersion heaters where needed are
recommended.
