Koal Cleaners: Soak
Koal #848.1
This product is highly concentrated non-silicated liquid soak cleaner designed to clean all alloys of aluminum and other
sensitive metal surfaces without etching or discoloration. Polished or matte finished surfaces pass through the cleaning
process unaffected except for the production of a superbly clean surface. The all liquid nature of this product make it ideally
suited for the cleaning of metals in coil coating or coil anodizing processes where case of bath make up is necessary.

This product is highly concentrated mildly alkaline liquid soak cleaner, which exhibits outstanding low foam cleaning power
on all metals, except magnesium, without tarnish, staining or discoloration. This product requires no neutralization or waste
treatment prior to sewer disposal.

Koal #1024
This product is a highly alkaline, very efficient soak tank cleaner that is dust free, free flowing and highly soluble in water. It
can also be used very effectively as a reverse current electrolytic cleaner where soak and electro cleaning must be
accomplished in a single tank. It can also be operated at low temperatures and still be effective.
Koal # 1024 removes soils, oils, greases, stamping compounds, buffing compounds and drawing oils from steel, brass
and copper. Processes copper and brass without leaving and undesirable surface tarnish. Unique formulation makes it
one of the finest products for use prior to plating in automatic or hand hoist lines and automatic or hand barrel lines. Keeps
oil and soils from redepositing on polypropylene barrels.

1. Readily Soluble, cleans at temperatures of 120-180F
2. High soil tolerance, up to 25%. Long lived product.
3. Can be used as a soak or electro cleaner.

Koal #1026
This product is a powerful liquid wetting agent and detergent booster for alkaline soak and electro cleaners of all types
where exceptionally difficult soils are encountered. When added to alkaline cleaners in small amounts Koal # 1026 greatly
improves the emulsifying, peptizing and soil holding power of the cleaner. This results in faster more efficient cleaning with
longer tank life between dumping. Koal # 1026 is mildly alkaline, and it may be added to weak or strong alkali detergents
without adversely affecting alkalinity of the cleaners.
Koal # 1026 not only is extremely effective as an additive booster but may be successfully used as a low cost soak and
electro cleaner when used directly with liquid caustic soda.
Koal #1037
This product is a free flowing, highly alkaline, powdered material used as a soak cleaner for ferrous, copper and copper
alloys metals. It is highly efficient, fast and long lived material that removes oils, drawing and buffing compounds, greases
and a great variety of many shop soils. Cleans in a very short time.
It is a special blend of alkalies with a unique surfactant system and a special organic activator capable of penetrating deep
recesses. This material displaces and emulsifies oils and greases and provides excellent rinsability with water break-free
surfaces. After a complete and thorough field test, Koal # 1037 has been proven to have extremely long tank life, superior
soil suspending properties that prevent soil redeposition on parts and has an economical high performance. It is deisnged
to chelate hard water ions, making this product suitable for use in hard or soft water areas.

Koal # 1038
This product is a proprietary chemical compound developed for the removal of rust, oxides, scale carbonaceous matter and
heat treat scale from steel and steel alloys. Its unique combination of non-chelated chemicals in an alkaline material will
rapidly perform its task without the use of electrical current or cyanide.
If soils are heavy, parts should be pre-cleaned. The quantity used in solution are dependent upon the rust or scale present,
the temperature required and the method used. Solutions are usually operated by simple immersion or in rotating barrels.
